Christina Niven: Inspiritu Breathwork

Inspiritu breathwork is a synthesis of breathwave, somatic experiencing, trauma-informed practice, counselling theory, yoga therapy and earth-based healing. Her clinical counselling gives her breathwork a strongly trauma-informed, somatic, and emotionally attuned frame. She tracks nervous system activation closely, pacing sessions to build safety, titration, and capacity rather than pushing for catharsis.

Robin Clements: Breathwave

Robin Clements is the founder of Breathwave, offering gentle conscious connected breathing in a ceremonial, circle-based format. His work weaves prayer, sound, elements, and group council into breath ceremonies that emphasize community healing and shared intention. He acknowledges initiations and teachings from lineages such as Lakota, Anishinaabe, Navajo, Mexica, Huichol, and other Indigenous and First Nations elders, which inform his way of holding space and relating to breath as sacred medicine.

Dr. Judith Kravitz: Transformational Breath

Dr. Judith Kravitz is a breathwork pioneer who created Transformational Breath, a therapeutic system using conscious, connected diaphragmatic breathing with sound, movement, and touch to support physical, emotional, and spiritual healing. Since the 1970s she has taught this method worldwide, founded the Transformational Breath Foundation, and authored “Breathe Deep, Laugh Loudly,” promoting breath as a self-healing tool for greater well‑being, joy, and inner peace.

Leonard Orr: Rebirthing Breathwork

Leonard Orr pioneered “Rebirthing Breathwork,” a form of conscious connected breathing intended to heal birth and early-life trauma, as well as emotional and spiritual blocks. Starting from experiments in warm-water, womb-like settings and later moving to “dry” sessions, he developed a repeatable process where continuous, relaxed breathing is used to surface and release suppressed memories and tension. Orr framed this work within a metaphysical philosophy that linked breath, relaxation, and spiritual purification to health and self-realization.
